Aunjanue Ellis

Aunjanue Elis Taylor is actress, American screen and stage actor and producer. She is best known as an actress in films for her performances in Ray Undercover Brother (Ray Undercover Brother) and The Mentalist. She earned a Bachelor of Arts at Brown University in African-American Studies. At the Tisch School of the Arts, New York University she obtained an MFA. Aunjanue Lisa Ellis is an actor, writer and American actress active in theatre in film, television, and theatre. Aunjanue L. Ellis started her acting career in the theatre. Later, she appeared in television series as well as independent and mainstream film. Her most famous role was Miranda Shaw in ABC's Quantico as well as on BET's epic series The Book of Negroes. Both of the roles she was praised by critics and received various nominations and awards including her first award, the Television Critics Choice Award for Best Actress. She began her career as an actress in 1995 when she played Ariel as Ariel in The Tempest. Alongside the Broadway production Come and Gone, she also has credits for Drowning Crow and Seeking the Genesis. When it comes to film, she is most well-known for her roles in films like Men of Honor The Caveman's Valentine The Express and The Help. Her role on television in ABC's police drama series High Incident has earned her praises.
